This sweetener also metabolizes differently from commercially produced sugars, causing little increases in overall blood sugar and glucose levels (glycemic impacts), being a healthier sweetener compared to normal table sugar.
Monk fruit is a good source of vitamin C, although present in trace amounts in the cereal. Stevia is another sweetener used in the blend, which although natural, causes the bitter aftertaste usually associated with normal sugar.

The debate surrounding this matter usually focuses on the low fat, fiber, and mineral contents of the cereal as well as the low calorie, GMO-free, grain and gluten free aspects of it.
