Does Costco Deliver And Set Up TVs? (Cost, How Long + More)

Does Costco Deliver And Set Up TVs

Do you know if Costco delivers and sets up TVs? Well, you are at the perfect place to find the answer to such a question.

Costco has a wide selection of Televisions available online and in their warehouse. However, if you are looking to purchase a TV and know you don’t have access to transport it home, you may be wondering if Costco will set up your TV.

Costco does offer delivery for TVs purchased online, and they partner with a company called GoShare for delivery of TVs purchased in store. Costco also has TV setup services available for an extra charge.

This article will break down how Costco TV delivery works, and the additional services offered by Costco.

Will Costco Deliver My TV?

The great news for Costco members is that Costco has delivery available for purchases made online. If you are looking to purchase your TV from the warehouse, then you may have to see if you’re eligible for GoShare.

GoShare is a third-party delivery service that is partnered with Costco to offer delivery from the warehouse to your home. You can go online or download the GoShare app and schedule a delivery ap[oitnment for the same day of purchase.

GoShare also offers some installation services for an additional price. If you’re curious about if GoShare is available in your area, you can check their website.

Costco online has many more options for delivery than purchasing in-store, which makes it a slightly more favorable choice for Costco members.

How Does Standard Delivery Work?

Standard delivery sees Costco utilizing the services of UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Shipping times will vary depending on your location and the carrier available.

Costco generally offers free standard shipping for orders of $75 or more. However, if you request express shipping you will be charged an additional fee at checkout.

Standard delivery only requires the carrier to bring the item to your threshold and leave it in the first secure space. This form of delivery doesn’t require an appointment or signature for the order to be delivered.

What Is Curbside Delivery?

Curbside delivery is used when your order is shipped by a freight carrier. Most TVs will not need to be shipped this way, however, if you order a particularly large one it might be shipped freight.

As the name suggests, a curbside delivery only requires the delivery agent to deliver the item into your driveway.

You can choose a designated appointment time for this delivery, but a signature is not required for delivery and your item will still be left if you aren’t there to receive it.

What Is Threshold Delivery?

If you choose threshold delivery this will require the delivery agent to bring the TV to the first “dry” area at your home. This could either be the inside of your front door or a garage.

You must make an appointment to request this delivery and a signature is required. If you fail to make your delivery time the package will not be left.

Threshold delivery will also likely come with an additional fee.

How Does Room of Choice Delivery Work?

The room of choice delivery is the next step up from threshold delivery and requires the delivery agent to bring the TV into any room you want.

The only situation here is that you must provide the delivery agent with a clear path from the door to your room of choice.

This means ensuring there is no clutter to trip on, furniture is moved from their path, and any pets are secured in a different area of the home.

You must be present for this appointment and provide a signature upon delivery.

How Does White Glove Delivery Work?

Costco’s white glove delivery is the most advanced of their delivery options. This will see the delivery agent bringing the TV to the room of your choice, unpack the TV, and set it up.

White glove delivery will cost an additional fee and requires a signature at the time of delivery

The set up included in white glove delivery is fairly basic, it requires the delivery agent to:

  • Remove all of the packing material and attach the TV to it’s legs and any speakers;
  • Place the TV in the desired location;
  • Connect the TV to the requested power source;
  • Connect any antenna, cable lead in, or signal supply; and
  • Turn the TV on and ensure it works correctly.

Costco recommends that customers keep their TV box and materials in case they want to make a return, however, the delivery agent can dispose of packaging if requested.

Final Thoughts

Costco has many different delivery options available to members. It would be best to choose a room of choice or white glove delivery if you aren’t tech-savvy or don’t have anyone to help you move the TV from the drop off location to the room you want it in.

Although this option does cost more, it is money well paid if you don’t want to hassle with setting up your TV yourself.

But, if you have some extra hands around to help move the TV and are comfortable setting up your TV alone then you could choose one of their standard shipping options and avoid additional fees.

Whatever you choose, Costco will provide a great service and ensure that your TV arrives in pristine condition, ready for your enjoyment!
