Change of Mind Returns: You do not have a time limit to make a return if you’ve changed your mind about it. The items you want to return must be in new condition, meaning unworn, unwashed, and with the tags and labels still attached.
Faulty Returns: If you’ve found the item to be faulty, defective, or different from a sample, Cotton On will follow the legal obligations for the country in which it was purchased.
You do not have a time limit to make a return on a faulty item.

Which are some exceptions to Cotton On’s return policy?
There are a few exceptions to the return policy that Cotton On offers. The following are not eligible for returns:

- Smile Maker Products
- Charity Items

You do not have a time limit to return the item, however it must be in a new, unused condition with the tags still on it.
You will need a receipt or proof-of-purchase to make your return. When possible, all returns will be refunded to the original method of payment.
To return an item in person:
You can return items bought in a store or bought online by bringing the item to the store. You can also exchange items in-store. For an instant refund, gather the following before going into a Cotton On store:
- The item you want to return, in unused condition, with tags intact.
- Your receipt or online proof-of-purchase.
- If applicable, the credit or debit card you made the purchase with.
Cotton On will not offer refunds in store for items purchased using Klarna, Quadpay or Afterpay.
To return an item through the mail:
You can return items purchased online by shipping them back. You cannot exchange items via shipping; you must go into a store.
Your refund will not be instant if you ship it back, instead, it will take up to 10 days for the return to process.

- Click on the button “Click Here to Create a UPS Return Label”
- Fill out the form and select the delivery method to get your return label. “Email Label” will send a label to your email for you to print out. “UPS Direct to Mobile” will send you a QR Code to your mobile device.
- If you selected “Email Label” print out the label, pack your item and drop it off at any UPS Access Point.
- If you selected “UPS Direct to Mobile”, take the QR Code on your phone along with your packaged item to any UPS Access Point and they will complete your shipment.
You will be responsible for any shipping charges unless the item is faulty. If the item is faulty, you will be refunded the shipping cost only if the entire order is returned, and you’ll need to provide proof of the shipping cost.
