Coles Return Policy (Do They Have One, Time Frame + More)

coles return policy

Have you ever asked yourself or your friend what Coles return policy is and how long do Coles take to refund? Well, you are at the perfect place to find the answer to such a question.

Coles Group operates over 1,400 retail outlets in Australia, including convenience stores, supermarkets, liquor shops, and fuel stations. Coles, a division of Coles Group, is the second largest supermarket chain in Australia.

Coles consists of over 750 supermarkets including several Coles Local specialty shops. Coles was established over 100 years ago and prides itself on making lives easier for Australians.

So, what is Coles’s return policy? Coles supermarkets offer a “Try It. Love it. Or Your Money Back” policy for Coles Own Brand products. This 100% satisfaction guarantee policy does not have a specified time limit for returns or exchanges on products. For non-Coles branded products, there is also no time limit to bring them back to the store to discuss return options with Customer Service.

What is the “Try It. Love It. Or Your Money Back” policy at Coles? Can I really return anything I don’t like back to the store?

Coles really does have a policy called “Try It. Love It. Or Your Money Back”. This policy applies to Coles Own Brand produce, deli, and fresh groceries, and pretty much means what it says.

According to their website, If you are unhappy with a product, you can return either the product, the empty packaging, or the receipt back to the store for a refund or replacement.

For non-food Coles Own Brand items, a similar 100% satisfaction guarantee applies. Simply return anything you aren’t 100% happy with back to the store for a refund or exchange.

For all products, refunds are credited back to the original form of payment.

This guarantee applies to all Coles Own Brand items purchased either in-store or online. Coles does stipulate that you must be truly unhappy with the purchase and not abuse the policy by bringing back items you like simply for a replacement.

Did Coles stop their “Try It. Love It. Or Your Money Back” return policy?

In March 2020, Coles did temporarily halt their return policy to prevent panic buying and over purchasing during the COVID pandemic.

This upset many people who were caught off-guard by the change in policy. Luckily, this stoppage was only temporary and the return policies for both Coles Own Brand and non-Coles branded items are back in place.
