Quest protein bars contain high levels of saturated fats with some 50-gram bars containing up to 5 grams of saturated fats, equating to 25% of your recommended daily intake. Additionally, Quest protein bars are made with artificial sweeteners and other ingredients that may cause inflammation and other digestional issues.

Will Quest Protein Bars Help You Lose Weight?
The short answer is yes, but, there’s a big trade-off.
If you replace other foods in your diet with Quest protein bars, you’ll be loading your body with protein and fiber, and that’s about it. You will lose weight. But you may cause bigger issues for your body along the way.
The staggering amount of artificial ingredients and heavily processed ingredients in Quest protein bars will not provide your body with the daily nourishment of vitamins and nutrients it needs.
Overloading fiber and protein can also lead to constipation and other intestinal issues.

Quest Protein Bar Ingredients

A quick scan of the packaging label reveals many ingredients that are counterproductive to weight loss and not overly healthy.
Reviewing the nutritional facts on any of Quest protein bars’ 20 flavors reveal most contain palm kernel oil, palm oil, sunflower lecithin, milk protein, and butter.
All of these ingredients are highly inflammatory and contain excessive levels of saturated fats.
Saturated fats are the evil arch-nemesis of skinny jean dreams and any healthy diet plan will avoid foods containing even moderate levels of saturated fats.
That’s simply because hundreds of studies all point to the fact that saturated fats are linked with an increased risk of heart disease and other chronic illnesses.
Sadly, even flavors perceived as being healthier (Pumpkin Pie) have a total fat count of 8 grams, with 5 grams being saturated fats.
Sorry to say to those thinking of a healthy birthday treat in the form of the Quest ‘Birthday Cake’ flavor, you’re looking at more than 50% of the fats in each bar being saturated fats.
Quest protein bars offer an incredible range of sweet-inspired flavors but most bars contain less than 1 gram of sugar.
The reason this is possible is due to the use of artificial sweeteners such as sucralose.
Sucralose (also known as Splenda) is an artificial sweetener that is chemically formulated to taste 600 times sweeter than sugar.
Sucralose has been developed to be almost calorie-free, however, this process strips sugar molecules called hydroxyl and is swapped for chlorine.
One of the ‘benefits’ is sucralose can help people lose weight when it replaces natural sugar.
The body extracts sucralose faster than sugar but also doesn’t allow the body enough time to extract the same amount of energy that it would with natural sugar.
