Does JCPenney Sell Refrigerators

When it comes to buying appliances, it’s common to shop around looking for the best deal. In addition to places like Ikea, Home Depot and Sears you can look for options in department stores like JCPenney.

The selection may not be as broad, but depending on what you’re looking for, they might have just what you need.

JCPenney doesn’t sell a lot of larger appliances. but they do offer a small selection of smaller items, such as compact refrigerators in an affordable price range.

This article looks at the refrigerators JCPenney offers.

Does JCPenney Sell Refrigerators?

JCPenney does sell some refrigerators, but they only supply the smaller types of refrigerators.

They’re a great place to look if you’re looking for a compact or minifridge, or if you’re looking for a portable refrigerator, but they don’t stock any of the full-size units.

Why Doesn’t JCPenney Sell A Larger Selection of Refrigerators?

JCPenney has an on-and-off history of selling larger home appliances. Originally, they did sell some of the larger items, but then they discontinued their appliance sales for 33 years.

In 2016, JCPenney resumed selling a full range of appliances. However, in 2019, they announced that they were discontinuing their sale of large appliances once again.

The reason given was that they were phasing out their appliance selection for ‘improved financial performance, and to better meet customer expectations’.

Since February of 2019, the only kitchen appliances being offered are smaller items.
