Submitting a claim for the Lifesharp guarantee is very simple. All you have to do is log onto your account or create one if you don’t already have it set up, then complete the Lifesharp form provided. After completing the form, you will be provided a shipping label.

Send your knife to the address provided along with the service form, insurance form, and counterfeit goods agreement form.

Once the company receives your knife and the proper paperwork, they will have their professionals sharpen it for you and then return it within one to two weeks.

How Do You File a Claim for the  Benchmark Life-Time Warranty?

If you have a Benchmark knife that is damaged or has some type of defect due to manufacturer error, you can easily file a claim under the lifetime warranty given to all customers on every knife sold.

You can do this simply by accessing your customer account and compiling the claims form.

If you do not have an account and have no interest in creating one, that is fine; you are still able to file a warranty claim; all you have to do is log onto the Benchmark website and print up to three separate forms.

The warranty service form, the Counterfeit goods agreement, and the automatic opening knife agreement.

Complete each of the forms listed above and mail them to the company along with the knife you wish to have returned, replaced, or repaired.

Is it Difficult to Have Your Claim Approved?

It seems that Benchmark really does stand behind its products and puts the satisfaction of its customers above all else. It seems there is very little need to actually file a claim with the company as long as the issues you are concerned about are legit. 

If you have any trouble with the knife you receive, simply contacting customer service and sending the knife in for repairs is typically all that needs to be done.

Rarely will the company refuse to correct any mistakes or fix a broken blade unless the damage is obviously a user error.

What About Returns?

If you bought a Benchmade knife and decided it wasn’t exactly what you wanted, you won’t have any problems whatsoever returning this product to the company.

Benchmark has a great return policy that states any purchase can be returned within 90-days of the original purchase date.

To return any knife to Benchmark, contact their customer service department, where you will be given an RMA number, then ship the item back in brand new, unused condition for a full refund (some products may require a 20% restocking fee.)

Unfortunately, if you took the knife out of the package and used it a couple of times only to realize you don’t like the way it feels or the way it cuts, you are unable to send it back.

The company will not accept returns on any item that has previously been used. There are many reasons for this, with not being able to re-sell them being one. 

Is a Broken Tip Covered Under the Benchmark Warranty?

Breaking the tip of a knife is easier than many people think, and when it happens, it would be wonderful if it could be repaired for free.

Unfortunately, a broken tip is not covered in the Benchmark limited lifetime warranty unless the problem occurred to a manufacturing error, which is not very common.

While sharpening services are covered under a special policy, broken parts are not.
