Why Doesn’t Walmart Make Great Value Products?

Walmart doesn’t make its Great Value products because it’s not the most economical way to go about it.

The company launched its signature brand as a way to offer its customers high-quality products for bargain prices.

Walmart carries many brand names at higher price points. Research showed that not all of their customers could afford the prices of the well-known brand-name items they sold.

Great Value was born out of a desire to put products on the shelves that more people could have access to.

In 1993, Walmart launched Great Value after contracting with well-known manufacturers to produce the first set of items.

Now the brand includes items in more than 100 different categories.

Walmart would go broke trying to build the plants for manufacturing so many kinds of items. It makes more sense to let existing companies make products on established equipment.

What Are the Varieties of Great Value Water?

Great Value water comes in a few varieties. They include:

  • Purified Drinking Water

The Hydrate variety comes in larger bottles. You can also buy a gallon of each type of water.

You can purchase Great Value items in Walmart stores and online through the Walmart website.

Is Great Value Water Any Good?

It’s bottled by one of the industry leaders in the water supply world. It’s made clean with no artificial flavors.

It’s refreshing and costs less than other brands on the Walmart shelves next to it.

Is Great Value Water Low Quality?

Great Value water is not ranked highest on the list of bottled water quality levels. But don’t count this bargain brand out, though. It’s also not ranked lowest.
