Does CVS Sell Wawa Gift Cards? (Full Guide

Does CVS Sell Wawa Gift Cards

Wawa has an extensive range of stores and gasoline stations across parts of the US East Coast and enjoys a high level of popularity, and almost cult status, based on its customer service focus and its commitment to the local communities it serves.

A Wawa gift card would be a great treat for a friend or relative living in the Mid-Atlantic region, and so people often wonder whether it is possible to purchase Wawa gift cards at outlets other than Wawa such as CVS located in other parts of the United States.

Unfortunately, CVS does not sell Wawa gift cards. However, I have other options for you which will allow you to purchase a Wawa gift card without necessarily visiting a Wawa store, so you can send these on to your loved ones.

What is Wawa?

Wawa is a US chain of gas stations and convenience stores situated in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC, Virginia, and Florida, and has been serving customers at its stores for over 50 years since it opened its first food market store in Pennsylvania in 1964. Wawa has expansion plans to also move into North Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee.

The origins of the company go back more than 100 years when George Wood founded the Wawa Dairy in 1902 which produced and delivered fresh milk to homes throughout the Philadelphia region.

The company name comes from the location of the company’s headquarters which is located in the Wawa area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Today the company runs more than 900 stores/gasoline stations

Wawa Product Line

Wawa is a well-loved convenience store, some with gas stations, famous for leading-brand and own-brand food and drinks on the go.

You can get coffee, hot breakfast products, deli-style sandwiches, salads, and burgers. Wawa is famous for its hot hoagie sandwiches which are made to order and available in three sizes – Junior (4-inch), Shorti (6-inch), and Classic (10-inch).

Wawa also sells own-brand apparel, novelties, and gift baskets.

Does CVS Sell Wawa Gift Cards?

Whilst CVS sells a wide variety of gift cards for other physical and online retailers, CVS does not sell Wawa gift cards. The same goes for other major stores such as Target and Walmart.

CVS will sell you a gift card for Amazon, JC Penny, Macy’s Sears, and many other stores, and also gift cards for restaurants such as Denny’s and Hooters, but Wawa gift cards do not appear on CVS gift cards displays.

Buy Your Wawa Gift Card at Wawa!

Your first choice should be Wawa itself!

If you live in a location with Wawa stores you can buy a physical gift card from your nearest or most conveniently located store.

Or, if you live in a state or area not served by Wawa stores you can order a physical gift card, or an e-gift card, online or via the Wawa app, and then have it shipped/emailed to your intended recipient within Continental USA.

You can buy Wawa gift cards in various values – $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $50, and $100.

The e-gift cards can be sent to your friends and family members as soon as you have made the payment; you just need to enter the recipient’s name, choose a card design for your e-gift card and the amount, and then complete the checkout.

If you order a physical gift card online and opt to have this delivered you will have to pay Wawa’s $7.99 flat-rate gift card shipping fee. The card will then be delivered by UPS.

Buying In-Store – Physical Gift Card

You can buy a physical Wawa gift card at a Wawa store just as you would buy anything else available in a Wawa store.

Final Words

There are multiple options to buy a Wawa gift card direct from Wawa. You can buy physical gift cards at Wawa stores.

Or, you can buy gift cards online. E-gift cards can be purchased via the Wawa official portal and also via the Wawa app.

Your other option is to arrange home delivery of a physical gift card, but you’ll have to pay a shipping cost.

Currently, it seems that big online retailers and stores such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, CVS, and Meijer don’t sell Wawa gift cards in their stores.
